• What is your favorite hobby or pastime?

Reading  … I can get lost in a good book for several hours or finish it in a day; sometimes just losing yourself in a really good book for awhile  … helps alleviate the doldrums for long enough and encourages you!

  • My favourite hobby doesn’t need much, just a book, a cup of tea, and a bit of quiet.

    Simple Joys and Small Escapes
  • Today is Monday, the sixth day of October, 2025, in the Season of the Church. May the peace of Christ fill you to overflowing! It is day 279 of 2025, with 86 days remaining. Day 24,679 of my life. Only six more days until our 40th anniversary! Two days until we head to Galveston. And, […]

    Praise Wells Up
  • I lost my love for reading somewhere between survival and growing up. But one day, I found her again, not as a frightened child seeking refuge, but as a woman who chose to come home.

    The Girl Who Read Everything
  • What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind?

I have NEVER changed my mind about being a Christian; and I may not always be correct, but I do the best that I ‘m able at the time. There are some things I can’t do, and Father God knows that. You, who think they have the right, don‘t.

I have NEVER broken the law intentionally or on purpose. Nor have I ever hurt physically intentionally anyone.  Words of my mouth, yes, more than likely.

Everyone has at one time or another, that’s not unusual or uncommon; If you have been hurt by something that I’ve said; you better check your own tongue, actions, motivations

    first!

I sincerely do apologize for how I have said something that has hurt your feelings!

But  … if it’s truth? I’m sorry, but you’re the one that needs to back  up and leave me be!

In other words, I’m not sorry for what I said just how it was said.

Just like you can say something nice or crass! Depending upon who’s around you, you might want to make sure it’s polite!

Granted you can tell someone to go to hell with a smile on your face  … but is that appropriate for the situation?

  • Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive them, that your Father who is in Heaven may also forgive your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

NOTE: NKJV LASB Forgiving others is tough work– so much so, that many would rather do something totally distasteful than offer forgiveness to someone who has wronged them. A person praying while bearing a grudge, however, is like a tree sprouting and bearing no fruit (11:13). True faith changes the heart. Real prayer dismantled pride and vengeance, filling the wholes with love. Real faith seeks peace.  For our Churches to have prayer power, harmony and forgiveness  must be evident in the body of Believers.  Letting go of grudges and Forgiving others. NOTE: Mark 11:22-25 NKJV LASB

The kind of prayer that moves mountains is prayer for the fruitfulness of God’s kingdom. It would seem impossible to move a mountain into the sea, So Jesus used that illustration to show that God can do what we consider impossible. God will answer your prayers, but not as a result of your positive mental attitude. Other conditions must be met (1) You must be a believer (2) You must not hold a grudge against another person. (3) You must not pray with selfish motives. (4) Your prayer must be for the good of God’s kingdom. To pray effectively you need to pray with faith in God. Not faith in the object of your prayer. If you focus on your request, you will be left with nothing, if your request is refused.

  • Note: NKJV LASB; Ezekiel 47: 8-9

The “valley” is the geological depression in which the Dead Sea lies. The sea will be “healed” or become fresh, the Dead Sea, a body of water so salty that nothing can live in it. The river will freshen the Dead Sea’s water  so it can support life. This is another picture of the life-giving nature of the water that flows from God’s temple.  Similarly, God’s power can transform us no matter how lifeless or corrupt we may be. Even if we feel bottomed out and beyond hope, His power can heal and restore us.

(See the notes from NKJV LASB 48:1-35)

  • He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.

    John 7:38 NKJV LASB

    Ezekiel 47:9*

When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the river goes, will live.  It shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the river goes, will live. There shall be a great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything shall live wherever the river goes.

    NOTE: NKJV LASB 47:1-12

This river is similar to the river mentioned in Revelation 22:1-2; Both rivers are associated with the river in the Garden of Eden (see Genesis 2:10). The River symbolizes life from God and the Healing and Restoration that flows from His throne. It is gentle, safe, deep river, expanding as it flows.

  • What could you do more of?

What do you need more of? Peace? Work? Family? Friends?

Or is it more like  …? Trust? Tranquility? Being Valued?

We need them all! Don’t we?

I would have to say Yes!

Sometimes Family isn’t necessarily our blood,  but  people we have walked with us over the last several years, months  or even weeks; they have been through our worst times and best times recently!

Still, we do get disappointed 😥

    Don’t we?

But all is not lost, there is still Hope for the future Hebrews 6:19,20 this Hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both Sure and Steadfast, and which enters His Presence behind the veil; 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become a High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
